FUNDRAISING AND MARKETING
For those with a background in Marketing and Fundraising there is no end to placements available in Ghana. The Foundation always needs assistance with marketing our various youth programs as well as ongoing grant writing for our youth resource centre and farm project. There are also countless opportunities available with businesses around Cape Coast that are looking for assistance with the marketing of their unique services; services that when developed and more efficiently administered will benefit the country’s development.
The following skills are desired for placements in the Marketing and Fundraising sector:
*Experience in fundraising (both small and large scale) preferred
*Good communication skills
*Confident and Friendly
*Outgoing with a positive attitude
*Culturally sensitive
PROJECT PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
The Abusua Foundation is always looking for assistance with the further development of our projects and our organizational goals. For those with some post-secondary education in the area of Project Management we are delighted to welcome you as equals to help us maintain and improve our projects.
Some combination of the following skills are desired for placements in this area:
*Post-grad degrees preferred
*Previous experience working within the non-profit sector preferred
*Enthusiastic and Self-motivated
*Culturally Sensitive
*Computer literate
*Action oriented
Fees:
All interns are provided with airport pick-up, orientation in Cape Coast, 24/7 Emergency support, daily food (breakfast and dinner) and accommodation for $120 a week. For placements less than 6 weeks there is a flat fee of $720.
Confirmation Fee:
There is a $500 non-refundable confirmation fee to secure the placement, which is due 30 days after acceptance by the programme. The rest of the programme fee is due 30 days before your arrival in Ghana.
What is not included:
Visas; Airfare; Health insurance; Travel insurance; Vaccinations; Local transportation
