With 15-acres of land outside Cape Coast, we are in the early stages of creating an organic youth-run farm. This project is not just a “farm”, it is about how young people and communities can learn new sustainable farming methods as a business.

Widows Association working on the farm
We hope to make the Abusua Sustainable Organic Farm Project (ASOF) a centre of excellence in organic and sustainable farmland use. An acre of land is currently being used by The Widows Association of Eguafo as a way to generate income for themselves and their community. A second acre is being farmed by local underprivileged youth in hopes that through proper training, essential transferable skills can be taught and practiced. Future plans to develop the remaining 13 acres are in progress.
